“One Hundred Years of Broadway,” directed by Neil Berg, takes the best of classic Broadway musicals and combines it into one performance. The show has been performed over 90 times throughout the U.S. and is scheduled for over 120 more shows, including Wilson Hall on Sept. 19.
As part of the Encore Series of Masterpiece Season, Neil Berg’s latest show, 100 Years of Broadway will be performed at JMU. The show will feature songs from “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Rent.” The performers are artists from original Broadway productions.
Berg is a director, composer, singer and producer. He directs for mainly off-Broadway performances but has produced hundreds of off-Broadway concerts across the world.
Producers and presenters across the U.S. have hailed Berg’s latest undertaking as a tremendous success, according to Berg’s Web site.
The show is at 7:30 p.m. in Wilson Hall. Tickets are currently on sale at the Masterpiece Season Box Office in Harrison Hall. Tickets are $12, $22 and $24. For more information about the show visit neilberg.com.
