Warm air won’t affect big air

Despite unseasonably warm weather, people have not refrained from hitting the slopes at Massanutten – a local resort 10 miles east of Harrisonburg where students can ski, snowboard or snow tube during the winter season. Jim Flynn, a JMU grad student and full-time snowboard instructor at Massanutten, has been snowboarding for eight years.  This is his third year working at the ski resort. More...

Gilmore makes campaign stop

As much of America sat down Monday evening to watch President Bush’s State of the Union Address, JMU students and members of the Harrisonburg community joined on campus to listen to U.S. Senate candidate Jim Gilmore. The GOP nominee for the Virginia vacancy, currently filled by Sen. John Warner who is set to retire in Jan. 2009, addressed an audience of about 100 in the Health and Human Services Building. More...
