‘Brighton Beach’ makes impact long after curtain fall

JMU’s school of theatre and dance has taken on the daunting task of putting on a show where nothing much actually happens. The school’s most recent production, “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” follows Neil Simon’s original script from 1982.

Three JMU-grown rock bands — Adelyn, Welbilt and Pepper’s Ghost — will be coming together tonight at The Pub to take part in Adelyn’s second-annual homecoming show.

Repertory concert will mix solos, duets, trios

The JMU dance department is bringing in the dance program at Ohio University to share in a concert tomorrow and Saturday night. The “DanceShare” concert will feature works by students, faculty and guest artists from both schools.

Soon after the first month of my freshman year, I realized rain is a common weather condition in Harrisonburg. As a senior, I feel obligated to pass on my advice about rainy weather fashion. After all, just because it’s raining outside that doesn’t mean your fashion sense has to go out the window.

DVD for chicks only The DVD for “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” is so annoyingly cute that it’s almost nauseating, but wow, did I love it! It’s the ultimate chick flick, and everything included on this disc screams it.
