Wallace qualifies for IC4A's

Senior sprinter Anthony Wallace qualified for the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America in both the men's 100-meters and the long jump.

Wallace was timed in the 100 at 10.80 seconds and leaped 24 feet, 8 3/4 inches in the long jump, good enough to place fifth.

Junior Char Lewis finished fourth in the triple-jump at the Virginia Invitational with a jump of 39 feet, 1/2 inch, qualifying her for the women's triple-jump at the Eastern College Athletic Conference meet.

Sports Clubs

Tennis

Club tennis competed against North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill over the weekend. The girls team defeated NC State 5-4.

Softball

Club softball swept a doubleheader against George-town University Sunday.
