Waving flags, holding signs and chanting, a group of nearly 300 students and faculty members gathered on the commons yesterday to show their support for troops fighting in Iraq.

The Visiting Scholars Program and the Muslim Student Association, in conjunction with Islam Week 2003, hosted a guest lecturer Tuesday in HHS 2301.

A bill protesting the school administration's acceptance of numerous and substantial raises was passed at last night's Student Government Association meeting. The bill expressed agreement and support of the Faculty Senate, who passed a resolution March 6, stating "moral outrage" against the administration's acceptance of raises.

In response to the significant salary increases some JMU administrators have received, the Faculty Senate recently teamed to create a unanimous resolution.
