Final Four square off
It's that time of the year again. Confused? If you can't put together the fact that this is a sports column written by yours truly, it's the beginning of April and there's been a thrilling basketball tournament going on for the past two weeks, please stop reading here. You're not worthy of my time.
Diamond Dukes, Kim defeat Radford with high-powered bats
The Diamond Dukes unleashed an onslaught of offense in a non-conference game, pummeling Radford Univeristy, 16-8, Tuesday at Long Field/Mauck Stadium.
Courtesy of a first inning home run by first baseman Mark Fleisher, the Highlanders jumped out to an early 2-0 lead.
In the bottom half of the inning, senior first baseman Eddie Kim responded, lifting a drive to left-center field, as the wind carried the ball over the wall for a three-run shot.

The women's tennis team lost to University of Richmond, 7-0, yesterday at the Hillside tennis courts. In a non-conference match, the Dukes put up a fight in every match, but Richmond's skill proved to be too much to overcome in the end.
The Dukes lost three opening doubles matches. The No. 2 doubles team of junior Margie Zesinger and freshman Kristin Nordstrom gave Richmond the most trouble, as JMU lost, 9-7. The No. 1 doubles match played by sophomores Rebecca Vanderelst and Kristen Veith lost, 8-1, and the No. 3 doubles team of senior Shell Grover and freshman Paige Mowry lost, 8-3.
